About the Role
The Systems Analyst joins the business solutions/system management team led by Business System Manager to design and develop new systems capabilities and solutions, and support the daily operations of the solutions when deployed.
Responsibilities
Analyse, design and develop web-based software systems and products.
Collect business requirements and make the necessary enhancements to software systems by designing computer information systems, modifying systems to improve production or workflow, or expanding systems to serve new purposes to ensure their continued relevance for the business.
Manage different aspects of systems integration, including determination of need, product evaluation, cost analysis, and writing purchase/bid specifications for hardware and software.
Plan and guide the implementation of enhancement and new capabilities developed.
Study technology and business trends and recommend changes to systems or technology, and business processes to take advantage of advances in these areas.
Provide level 2 and 3 support to the systems and applications developed and assist the support teams in troubleshooting and recovering applications as necessary.
Requirements
Experience
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent engineering domains.
Minimum 2 years experience working as Systems Analyst or Analyst Programmer in developing IT systems, and preferably, but not mandatory, in Manufacturing/Logistics/Supply Chain Management business/industries.
Experience in ERP systems would be advantage.
Critical Knowledge
Knowledge in Project Management and concepts of software development process
Knowledge of programming Languages ― Java, VB, C++, PHP, .NET is necessary
Able to understand and provide recommendations on selection of new equipment or software packages
Manage the timeline for delivery of specifications for Systems Analyst and Analyst programmers to follow. The specifications include detailed descriptions of the records, files, and documents used in processing, and data flow charts describing the interrelationship of the data elements to be considered by the programmers
Manage the preparation of technical documentation and instructional manuals relevant to the establishment and functioning of entire operational systems.
Basic understanding of CRM, ERP and workflow systems
Basic understanding of Windows, Linux platform
Basic understanding of Database ― MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle
Knowledge in Logistic or Manufacturing Operations would be an advantage
Skills & Abilities
Manage and maintain IT procurement and services for hardware equipment, software, services and subscriptions for End User Computers and Corporate systems.
Create, maintain, update and improve OSS and EUC processes, procedure and work instruction, user guide, and technical documentation.
Provide support for an internal and external audit, compliance, governance, QMS, ITSM, and related work.
