About the Role

The Business Executive plays a key role in supporting the Corporate Planning portfolio. In facilitating the growth of the Company, especially into new business areas, he/she will assist the Senior Corporate Planning & ERM Manager in the following areas:

  • Support corporate and business tasks and projects including preparation and updating of business case studies, profiles of the Company and all its subsidiaries, business grant and collaboration proposals.

  • Preparation of research reports to aid/facilitate the Company’s decision in growing its businesses, while highlighting new challenges and regulatory requirements in changing market conditions.

  • Validation of productivity projects implemented by the Business Units.

  • Coordination and consolidation of the Group Balanced Scorecard.

Responsibilities

Corporate Business Support

  • Organising, maintaining, and updating the profiles of the Company and all its subsidiaries, and business-related content on the Company website and propose periodic improvements to ensure the content continues to support the objectives of the Company.

  • Assists the Business Units in preparing business grant and collaboration proposals.

Business Research

  • Assists in acquiring research material of identified market segments, including existing and targeted customer segments, to support functions of the Company.

  • Performs targeted research on specific trends or topics as commissioned by the Management and can derive recommendations to the Company based on conducted analysis.

Productivity Validation

  • Conduct validations of productivity projects implemented by the Business Units and prepare the validation report to Management.

Balance Scorecard (BSC)

  • Initiate the quarterly BSC exercise and prepare the Group BSC reports.

  • Proactively gather BSC targets, data sets and relevant information from the Business Units.

Fulfils other tasks as assigned by the Senior Corporate Planning & ERM Manager.

Requirements

  • Candidate should possess at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Business Administration or Arts and Social Sciences/Humanities

  • Prior work experience of at least 1 year, or fresh graduates with an aptitude for research, writing and good presentation skills may apply

  • Responsive and responsible. A good team player who can also work independently and under pressure

  • Good communication skills, with the ability to present/articulate data accurately and concisely in report and/or presentation form

  • Good analytical ability with business acumen. Is resourceful and able to research extensively to draw out the underlying trends and implications

  • Proficient in operating Microsoft Office such as Word and PowerPoint. Proficiency and experience in applications such as PowerBI are advantageous
